Luc Josserand, Sohn und Enkel von Künstlern sowohl seines Vaters als auch seiner Mutter (einer seiner Großväter war ein Schüler von Matisse), entschied sich für eine Karriere in der Branche. Der Ingenieur, Geschäftsführer, Luc Josserand hat nie wirklich versucht, auszustellen und von seiner Kunst seinen Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen. Der Salon d'Automne in Paris - die Ausgabe 2002 - ist die einzige Ausstellung, an der er teilgenommen hat. Bei dieser Gelegenheit wurde ihm von mehr als 700 anwesenden Künstlern der zweite Malpreis in der Kategorie «junge Maler» von der „Vereinigung der Freunde und Mitglieder des Salon d'Automne“ verliehen.
Zeichnung, Farben und Licht sind die Grundlage seiner Arbeit, Weiblichkeit als Quelle seiner Inspiration. Trotz seines Bedürfnisses, Figuren zu zeichnen, was seine Arbeit in der figurativen Kunst positioniert, ist Luc Josserand leidenschaftlich an abstrakter Kunst interessiert. Der Einfluss der abstrakten Kunst spiegelt sich in der Behandlung des Hintergrunds seiner Bilder wider.
