Paulous ist ein Fotograf, der sich gerne als Künstler bezeichnet, der rohe Kunst praktiziert. Er fühlte und wollte sich immer von akademischen Regeln befreien. Es ist ihm egal, ob es zu dunkel, zu hell, zu verschwommen ist... Wenn ihm das Foto gefällt, wirklich wie ein Werk seines Verstandes, seines 'Ego' aussieht, dann behält er es. Andernfalls zerstört es sie.
Besonders die Themen Landschaft, Industriebrachen und Details von Objekten, die wir täglich sehen, ohne sie wirklich zu sehen, behandeln seine Arbeiten und zeichnen sich durch eine neue und ungewöhnliche Beleuchtung aus.
Paulous wurde 1944 geboren. Er lebt und arbeitet in Coincy (Frankreich). Seine erste Kamera bekam er im Alter von 11 Jahren. Zu Beginn seines Berufslebens hatte er die enorme Chance, die Technik gründlich zu erlernen: Fotografieren, im Studio oder draußen, Entwicklung (und für die Industrie, Fotoretusche auf Negativ und/oder Positiv) ... Vergrößerung und Drucken. Seine Arbeiten sind in vielen Privatsammlungen vertreten.
