Jacques Jégo wurde in der Bretagne (Frankreich) geboren. Heute lebt er im Elsass (Frankreich). Neben Straßburg arbeitet er hauptsächlich in Sète, aber auch in Paris, Antibes und der Bretagne. Mit der Fotografie begann er 1962, neben seinem Studium als Architekt, völlig autodidaktisch. Er hat in zahlreichen Galerien ausgestellt, darunter Dock Sud in Sète (Frankreich), das ihm 2010 eine Einzelausstellung widmete.
