The hummingbirds are painted with oil paints and fine brushes and have diamond dust from Culture Hustle and shimmer like the feathers of real hummingbirds. The canvas is painted in gold acrylic and glows in the light. It is painted around the edges.

The artist has lived in several different countries including France, Spain and Mexico which have influenced her colour palette as well as her subject matter. She now lives in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and is particularly interested in the practise of mindfulness in the creation of her paintings. She says “ to empty my mind and allow the power of life to flow through my artwork brings a new energy which is at the same time dynamic, peaceful and up-lifting".
