SCENT OF GLADIOLI Malerei von Katreen Queen

My new friends who live in Belarus, managed to raise a wonderful garden, a large part of which is occupied by the magic and the much-loved by me flowers called gladioli.

Once upon a time there was a war between the Romans and the Thracians and the victory went to the Romans. The cruel Roman commander captured Thracian warriors and ordered to turn them into gladiators. Homesickness, the pain of lost freedom, the humiliating status of slaves bonded the two young men together, the two young men were called Teres and Sevt.

Wanting to entertain the audience, a cruel commander made the two friends fight against each other, promising to reward the winner – with a homecoming. For the sake of the freedom they had to give their lives. However, when the battle begun the two friends stuck their swords in the ground and rushed into each other's arms. The crowd roared angrily and friends were executed as a result of their betrayal.

However, when the friends’ fallen bodies touched the ground, their swords took to seeding root and flourished, this in turn turned into beautiful high standing flowers, which in honor of the noble gladiators were called gladioli. And to this day, they are a symbol of friendship, loyalty and honor.

Enjoying an absolutely wonderful smell of violet gladioli, I drew my girlfriend Olesya, who has not only a true beauty with a long brown braid, which is rarely seen in our time, she also has a good heart and a very good patient character. These qualities are greatly helped her in her work as a teacher in a kindergarten.

The Beauty of a young woman and the beauty of violet gladioli can steal any blue mood and successfully decorate even a sunless room.
