Cette peinture acrylique sur toile représente la plage de la Tamarissière à Vias dans l'Hérault. Cette plage, située près du Cap d'Agde et de l'embouchure du fleuve Hérault, est restée à l'écart de l'urbanisation. Ce qui m'a intéressé dans cette peinture, c'est de rendre l'atmosphère et la lumière particulière qui est associée à la Tramontane, ce vent du Nord qui balaie la région. Un peu comme le Mistral, ce vent souvent violent "nettoie" le ciel et disperse les nuages. Les contrastes sont forts et l'air limpide.
Au premier plan, les ganivelles et les oyats ondulent au rythme des dunes.

This acrylic painting on canvas represents the Tamarissière beach in Vias in the Hérault. This beach, located near Cap d'Agde and the mouth of the Hérault river, has remained away from urbanization. What interested me in this painting is to render the atmosphere and the particular light that is associated with the Tramontana, this northern wind that sweeps the region. A bit like the Mistral, this often violent wind "cleans" the sky and disperses the clouds. The contrasts are strong and the air clear.
In the foreground, the ganivelles and the marram grass undulate to the rhythm of the dunes.

Esta pintura acrílica sobre lienzo representa la playa de Tamarissière en Vias en el Hérault. Esta playa, situada cerca de Cap d'Agde y la desembocadura del río Hérault, se ha mantenido alejada de la urbanización. Lo que me interesó de esta pintura es representar la atmósfera y la luz particular que se asocia con la Tramontana, ese viento del norte que azota la región.
