Currently, David is finishing some large sculptures to show them in 2002, starting in September, syill secret the venue in which some of his themes will be integrated in special architectural urban setting. Meantime he is working at some projects for public art in contemporary buildings.

His first solo exhibition was in 1983, in the main hall, Central Railway Station, Sydney. In Europe he has continue to show his sculptures on collective and solo exhibitions, concentrating on the willingness to integrate architectonic site with everlasting presences.

David Booker was born in Australia on 22 September 1954.
Educated in Sydney and Hobart, friends School and Tasmanian School of art.

His work is inspired by a deep sense of the vastness of Australian space and is almost always conceptually related to an architectural setting. His evident purpose is to relate humanity to its environment.

His first large sculptures were done in Huon Pine and Tasmanian oak.
Later he made some figurative pieces in Hawkesbury River limestone.
Since 1978 he has working on his marble and wood sculptures as an Australian, resident in Italy.
