David Shepherd

David Shepherd is a contemporary Canadian painter. Shepherd's art is diverse, ranging from classic Still Life, Landscape, and Portraiture to Realism combined with Cubism, Soft Cubism, Impressionism, Expressionism, and Abstract. He is now working on a series of hyper realism close-ups of the human face with various items that focus on expressions, personality, politics, and culture. His Hyper Realism style aims to push the narrative of Realism art forward.

David Shepherd was born in Canada, where he graduated from the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. He is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America and the National Oil and Acrylic Society and his work has been displayed in galleries in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and in notable shows across the U.S.
