I have worked in the finance sector since the mid-90s, but my passion for the visual arts, particularly plastic arts (painting), film and photography, has been with me since childhood.

Between the ages of 7 and 13, I was deeply immersed in drawing. As a teenager, my interests expanded to include photography, cinema, and music, which further shaped my creative sensibilities.

My artistic inclinations were influenced by my parents, even though they never consciously intended to nurture that side of me. My father, Didier, was an avid practitioner of artistic black-and-white photography. Growing up in a modest house on the western outskirts of Paris, I had the privilege of being surrounded by his work, and even the basement of our home served as his darkroom for developing and printing photographs.

In 1989, my mother, Lucie, became an art dealer, and through her, I was exposed to a world of powerful art that would leave a lasting impact on me. The works of Bernard Buffet, Robert Combas, Francis Bacon, and Yves Klein, which passed through her hands, particularly resonated with me.

Unfortunately, my mother’s career in the art world was cut short by the onset of the 1991 Gulf War, which abruptly ended her venture. Despite the brief duration of her career, her enthusiasm for the art world had a profound influence on me.

As I entered adulthood, I believed I had moved away from painting, but a new creative spark was ignited after the birth of my first two children. In 2014, during a rainy week in Normandy, I found myself looking for ways to entertain my daughters. I bought a canvas, brushes, and acrylics, and decided to teach them basic painting techniques. To my surprise, this simple act became a powerful source of creative renewal for me.

In the years that followed, my artistic vision grew more refined, and I found myself increasingly drawn to the works of painters like Pierre Soulages, André Marfaing, Hans Hartung, and Georges Mathieu. Their influence helped shape my style and solidified my embrace of "lyrical abstraction" - a movement I now identify with unapologetically.

Since the end of 2023, my artistic output has grown significantly, and I now create an average of one work per day. My creative journey has come full circle, and I continue to explore new ways of expressing myself through art.

I mainly use 2 types of techniques:

1) Acrylic painting on canvas, paper, panel or wood.

2) Photography or digital work: in this case, I create an original painting, then I take a picture of it and change the image in post-production by applying effects.
