My name is Darya, I am a passionate artist. I like to work in different techniques and genres. I have been drawing since early childhood, but I seriously took up painting at a more mature age, already having experience of a completely different activity.
Life itself, people, and their emotions are the source of my inspiration. The great Dostoevsky once said that one should love life more than the meaning of life. I think he meant that the process itself is important. I sincerely believe that this applies to art as well.
I also believe that art is designed to serve people, to encourage them, to reveal the depth and beauty of this world, to unite them. Painting is an eternal search, those guys who painted caves in France wanted not only to convey information to their fellow tribesmen. I think it was also a need for such self-expression.
Currently, I am a student at the Academy of Arts - Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin.
