The sculpture "Bird in space" aims to overcome and reinterpret a barrier imposed by the master Constantin Brancusi himself. Being one of my favorite sculptors, I tried to pass on the idea of "flight" proposed in some of his works.

Through this work I made an analogy of the "Brancusian flight" with an elliptical galaxy in the space of the Universe. I gradually move away from the terrestrial space, always looking for and personifying certain life forms, objects, beings with different cosmic phenomena.

The work consists of three pieces. The first piece is made of black granite and represents Man and time. The bronze rod represents man's own journey. The third piece, the "bird" is made of white Ruschita marble and represents the analogy with an elliptical galaxy.

Marble on granite.
