Dam Tung

Dam Tung is a contemporary painter from Vietnam, born in 1979 in Hanoi. He graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2005 and currently lives and works in Hanoi.

Throughout his career, Dam Tung has garnered numerous accolades and awards for his exceptional talent and artistic contributions. In 2012, he received the prestigious sixth ASEAN-China Young Author Creative Contest award. The following year, he was honored with the Excellence Award at the 7th China ASEAN Youth Art Creativity Competition.

Dam Tung's artistic achievements continued to be recognized on an international scale. In 2014, he participated in the Rome Biennial, showcasing his work to a global audience. He further solidified his reputation with another Excellence Award at the 10th ASEAN-China Youth Artwork Creation Contest in 2016.

His participation in various international biennales further exemplifies his impact on the contemporary art scene. Dam Tung's work has been featured in prominent events such as the Romart Biennale in 2017, the Bangladesh Biennale in 2018, and the Dafen Biennale in the same year. He also participated in the Contemporary Art Biennale Art Shingle22J in 2019, as well as the Habens University Art Biennial Edition in 2020.

Most recently, Dam Tung was honored with the LXV Cascella Award in 2021, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in contemporary art. His work continues to captivate audiences around the world, showcasing his unique vision and artistic prowess.
