Cyriaque Millet, born in 1972, lives and works in France, where he flourishes as a self-taught painter passionate about pictorial art. Using various materials such as wax on linen, oil on MDF panel, wax on wood, pigment on MDF panel, as well as tale and charcoal on paper, he explores a multitude of techniques to express his artistic vision.
His major influences include masters such as Monet and Michelangelo, who inspire his impressionist, abstract, landscape and figurative style. Cyriaque Millet likes to transpose his emotions through the beauty of the landscapes of his region, Haute-Marne. His works, often created outdoors, capture the essence and spontaneity of the present moment.
His artistic approach is deeply rooted in the concept of “giornata” — a day of fresco work where each brushstroke is a breath, a breath of fresh air in creation. Cyriaque Millet strives to demonstrate that time is only a present moment in the greater whole, thus creating an ephemeral but intense connection with his works.
His meetings with two professional painters reinforced his belief that his expressions could find a powerful voice through art. In the studio, he also works on frescoes, bringing a monumental dimension to his work. For him, selling his creations and generating commitment from his buyers who believe in his talent is an essential part of his artistic approach.
Cyriaque Millet continues to fascinate and inspire with his vivid landscapes and compositions full of life, bringing to each canvas a part of himself and his vision of the world.
