Il donne à voir une sélection d’anciens tableaux, où le charbon de bois sur papier tente de saisir l’impermanence des nuages et du ciel, mais également une nouvelle production, plus picturale. La peinture se fait alors fusionnante avec le dessin, les matières brutes tentent de s’organiser et le trait expressif, tel un fil, donne libre interprétation au spectateur sur la place de l’être humain dans l’univers.

Having been enchanted at personally meeting the artist, Jean-Louis Crudenaire, during his exhibition of clouds while on a visit to Uzes (his hometown in Southern France), I was totally enchanted by his artwork. Our discussions around each piece provided a wonderful perspective and insight, not only regarding his intense process of making his art, but also the artworks journey and commentary for each piece. The black and white fusion collection is both striking and intelligent. I left with three pieces delivered, with ease, directly to my home in Aspen. One large format and a smaller pair of twin artworks. They have become a wonderful talking and focal point in our expansive reception area. It has been an absolute pleasure to deal directly with Jean-Louis and on discussing all things including his future projects, which sound exciting, I look forward to adding more 'Crudenaire" artworks to my collection.
