Mario Costantino was born in Nice in 1930.

He studied the art of engraving at the workshop of the artists union of Ivry under great artists like Aléxis Hinsberger and Toffoli.
He won his first prize at the 11th Salon of Ivry's qrtists in 1966.

Specialized in polychrome glass engraving

Mario Costantino set his own technique.
Through his constant search for improvement, his sophisticated technique enables him to work thoroughly and get high quality product.

The engraving is made directly on the glass with a diamand point.
Then, he puts gilding in the lines.
On the other side of the glass, he applies coloured flakes.
To enlight the flakes, a coat of cold ceramic paint is applied.

Mario Costantino gets his inspiration from mythology.
The mystery around the different civilizations and their beliefs are one his great passions.

Mario Costantino has been highly apparaised so for :
