Born in 1979, Doctor Cobain is an artist from Metz, in eastern France. As a teenager, boredom and the prevailing gloom were a source of creativity for him. He developed a passion for comics and, at the age of 15, created his own album, which he called "Antoine, King of the ANPE."
A rebel at heart, drawing and painting were the only means for him to peacefully express his way of life. It was his travels around the world: England, the United States, Australia, and China, that enriched him artistically. It was from there that he drew his inspiration and developed the idea of making a living from his art.
After arriving in Brest in 1997, he traveled through Brittany to study art in Nantes, where he graduated with honors. He then developed a passion for airbrush painting. He practiced this technique for four years in the motorcycle customization world, learning how to use this tool from some of the greatest names, such as Christophe Durand (Best Craftsman in France). It was then that he truly realized he was a distinguished artist.
From 2005 to 2010, he participated in numerous exhibitions in Brittany. At the 24th Paris Art Fair, he presented two paintings, winning first prize with one of them.
He pushed the boundaries of hyperrealistic rendering through the use of fluorescent paints. Establishing himself as a leading expert in this technique, Doctor Cobain
plays with both light and paint. He offers canvases with both daytime and nighttime views. This is what makes him unique and original.
His art is expressed on frescoes and canvases, but also in the field of visual creation on interior furniture.
In 2010, when he arrived in Toulon, in the South of France, Doctor Cobain
partnered with the artist SEATY, with whom he now shares the same passion. They founded their company "MY DECOR - CREATEUR D'AMBIANCE" and own their own artist studio.
His technique on canvas continues to evolve with the use of invisible fluorescent paints. Today, after 15 years of artistic career, he continues to develop his unique style with the same passion and audacity.
