Colm Hughes

Hi, I am an Irish Artist living in central Europe for over ten years now. I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me every day and in everyday encounters, fellow artists, nature itself, and architecture of our surrounding built environment. I take my inspiration from my Celtic heritage and culture along with ideas and artistic creations from Ancient Egyptian, Japanese, Ancient Roman, Comic books and the world of music and culture. I have always been creative and there is a joy in creating taking your artistic ideas and turning it in a real and physical piece of art. Every piece of artwork has its own unique journey. As the phrase goes "Man cannot remake himself without suffering for he is both the marble and the sculpture"- Alexis Carrell. Keep creating and learning from that creative experience because you not only create art you learn something in the process, I would hope that everyone who looks at my art has some positive emotion evoked and enjoys the art itself.
