It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. Née le 01 novembre 1996 à Kinshasa à La République Démocratique du Congo, de son pseudonyme Clèves Léo fait partie de cette nouvelle génération talentueuse des artistes peintre volcanique de la RDC.
Dès ses huit ans, son oncle lui apprend les bases du dessin. A l’école, dans la rue, il observe et dessine l’humain, « croquis » de façon très réaliste tous les sujets qu’il voit. Adolescent, il suit des cours aux Beaux-arts de Kinshasa jusqu’à ses 16 ans. Arrivant en France en 2013, parallèlement à ses études, il continue le dessin, développe sa peinture, suit des cours aux du soir aux Beaux-arts de Rouen, il maitrise beaucoup des techniques, il a une telle maitrise de la technique que ses amis le surnomment Léonard de Vinci. « Léo ». Il aime représenter la figure humaine. Dans un simple regard, il exprime avec réalisme les sentiments des sujets qu’il peint.
Clèves Léo est un artiste peintre dessinateur plasticien basée en France. Ses peintures ont commencé par une base de réalisme et il a continué à explorer de nouvelles méthodes, styles et tout au long de sa carrière. Il s'inspire de la nature, figuratif dans toutes ses manifestations : la terre, la mer et le ciel ; mémoire et émotion ; passé et présent. Ces sources d'inspiration sont utilisées pour créer des visages humains et parfois paysages intéressants, abstrait qui prenne vie sur la toile.
Les peintures de Clèves Léo sont le résultat d'une coïncidence intentionnelle et d'une progression méticuleusement planifiée. Les couleurs, les lumières, les structures et les formes qu'elle souhaite utiliser dans une harmonie particulière avec les différentes techniques sont au cœur de son travail.
En 2013 adolescent suit les cours au collège Henri Matisse à Grand-Couronne en Seine Maritime, en 2014-15 il passe le baccalauréat professionnel électro-technique au lycée Grieu à Rouen, en 2018 il passe le baccalauréat professionnel maintenance des équipements industrielle en alternance avec l’entreprise Inoxyda à Petit Quevilly en Seine-Maritime et 2019-2021 diplômer d’un BTS maintenance des systèmes option A systèmes de production (Brevet de technicien supérieur).
Clèves Léo est un peintre figuratif et narratif. Dans ces tableaux, il met en scènes des personnes que qu’il a pu rencontrer, souvent sont de membre de sa famille et des ami(e)s proche.
Il travaille avec des nuances très colorées qu’il pense viennent de sa culture africaine. Arrivé en France il a repris son cursus à l’école des beaux-arts de Rouen dont il suivait ses cours du soir. La découverte de l’art contemporain a constitué pour lui une nouvelle identité radicale dans sa façon de concevoir sa vision du monde.
