Claudia Zerbe, born in 1957, lives and works in Germany. After receiving her Abitur in 1975, she continued her studies at FH Hannover for communication and product design, specializing in graphic design and obtaining her designer diploma in 1980.

She uses varied mediums, including conté on cardboard, pencil on paper, acrylic on paper and chalk on cardboard, to create works marked by expressionism and the figurative. His artistic influences include masters such as Lovis Corinth, Max Liebermann, Max Slevogt, Käthe Kollwitz, Wilhelm Busch, Horst Janssen and Max Beckmann.

Claudia Zerbe worked as a textbook illustrator and collaborated with various advertising agencies before devoting herself, from 1993 to 2021, to a specialized school for intellectual development, where she directed artistic projects and school newspapers .

His artistic engagement focuses on human faces, seeking to capture and reflect the complexity of expressions and emotions such as fear, joy, sadness, love, anger and disgust. For Claudia, drawing is a way to reveal the intensity, complexity and depth of human feelings, a challenge she has pursued since her studies.

She wants her works to immediately touch viewers on an emotional level, inviting them to question the feelings that her creations arouse in them and the relationship between the observer and the work. This dialogue between the image and the viewer is at the heart of his artistic work.
