Claude Amaouche a exercé et enseigné dans le domaine des Art du Verre (vitrail, décor sur verre).
D'abord vitrailliste, installé à Carcassonne, il a ensuite enseigné les arts du verre conjointement au cours municipal d'adulte de la ville de Paris et au lycée des métiers des arts du verre Lucas de Nehou, à Paris.
Parallèlement il poursuivait un travail de dessinateur et graveur.
Aujourd'hui, il se consacre essentiellement au dessin, à la gravure, avec une préférence pour les techniques de la pointe sèche et de la manière noire
" Si la pointe sèche me permet un rendu "réaliste", c'est souvent la manière noire qui donne de la profondeur, du mystère, à ces observations de la nature, permettant à l'imaginaire de faire surgir des questions - mais jamais de réponses, c'est mieux ainsi."
