"A picture is worth a thousand words "they" say. Whoever they are, I think what they meant was is that behind every picture, there is a story, and that at least is true. For almost a decade I have been traveling the world taking photos with a camera or a phone. You may have seen some of the images, but there is so much more to tell of the places I have been, the things I have seen and people I have met. What I want to do is select images and tell their story with my thousand-ish words about why the image is memorable to me. What is the story? Will it be true? Sometimes there is greater truth in fiction so we shall see what the image reveals" Cindy Bajema. Cindy Bajema is a photographer specializing in social documentary photography, environmental portraiture, and editorial photography. Originally from California's San Francisco Bay Area, she has lived in Southeast Asia since 2008, having spent 3 1/2 years in India and is currently residing in the Philippines.

Seit fast einem Jahrzehnt bereist sie die Welt und fotografiert mit einer Kamera oder einem Handy. Sie haben vielleicht einige der Bilder gesehen, aber es gibt so viel mehr zu erzählen über die Orte, an denen sie war, die Dinge, die sie gesehen hat, und die Menschen, die sie getroffen hat. Was sie tun möchte, ist, Bilder auszuwählen und ihre Geschichte mit ihren tausend Worten darüber zu erzählen, warum das Bild für sie unvergesslich ist. Was ist die Geschichte? Wird es wahr sein?
