The purpose of this artwork was to imbue an ordinary object encountered in everyday life, a street pillar in this instance, with a new significance. Through a creative process, I transformed the photograph of the pillar into a kaleidoscopic image. This kaleidoscope was further modified into a repeating pattern, in order to create the illusion of a mesmerizing "tunnel." This tunnel serves as a visual metaphor, leading towards a distant focal point that evokes a sense of a mystical portal, inviting exploration and curiosity. It represents a gateway to an unknown destination, shrouded in intrigue and beckoning the viewer to embark upon a captivating journey of discovery.
