Christophe Gol
Christophe Gol is a French artist whose work revolves around drawing and painting, exploring the boundaries between these two mediums. He is known for his unique way of telling stories through his paintings, which he describes as single-panel comic strips, where the whole story unfolds.
His graphic style, while deceptively naive, is skillfully crafted to communicate complex narratives. Some of his works feature a form of shaded cubism, with elements that fit together harmoniously. For Christophe Gol, a drawing or a painting is much more than a simple visual representation, it is a language that can say everything and its opposite. It is a fleeting vision, a representation of a dream, an awareness of the world or even a supposition.
Christophe Gol has always been curious and passionate about drawing, developing over time his own technique and a recognizable personal touch. His work is fantastic and meticulous, where time becomes ridiculous and reality finds its strength in symbolic forms.
The artist has been awarded numerous times and has consolidated his reputation thanks to his unbridled creativity. His works offer kaleidoscopic visions, environments rich in detail, and address varied subjects, from current events to history.
His artistic career is punctuated by exhibitions and distinctions, from Marseille to Barcelona, via Draguignan and Cannes. His work has been recognized by galleries, visual arts fairs and prestigious competitions. He continues to fascinate his audience with his unique vision of visual art, always in search of new forms of expression.

FOR A FEW DAYS STILL
For a few days still, at the théatre of Olivier (until May 15) Christophe Gol presents his fantastic drawings at the Indian ink. Born in Aix in Provence, its first inspirations were the copies of his/her large father, tables of painters impresionnists which it was rocked during all his childhood. without never to have made school, it made its technique during more than ten years. fantastic from the drawings, one could say it: it is before all the meticulousness of a work or time is derision, reality taking its force in symbolism. Each one can there discover disconcerting feelings and be let carry by its imagination…

All escapes the current current in this FIGURATIVE PAINTING CERTAINLY, BUT NONCONVENTIONAL. Many time rewarded, it obtains in 1988 the 2nd price of drawing from Provence in Aix. my philosophy
Kaleidoscopic vision of a cluttered environment but beneficial to the creation. News and history are in the soil. Figurative works' visual foods "abrupt and spontaneous vision of our societies.
Expanding my graphics tablet, I experience different techniques; pastel, charcoal, wash, enamel decoration, digital art, collage.
Large canvases, painted in oil on the example of "VIBRATION".
On this series of paintings, I lead the painted designs in the style of collages reproduced to the limits of my angle bracket, not a square inch is left blank, the paint is fine but not smooth; drawing cloisonne forms by lines that appear orange or black, show a figurative aspect to all of my works.
Theme of transportation, communication, spirituality, they are works with evocative titles.
Currently (2012), I experience a more intuitive painting with falsely naive to see basic geometric shapes less septate, simple and spontaneous, figurative images shaded with false perspectives, make up the theme and give relief to the elements.
