Born June 15, 1971 in LISIEUX (Calvados). From a young age, he was attracted to all forms of Art, which his modest background deprived him of. School bored him, and his mind never stopped wandering.
Christophe Verger-Lecocq's works are often marked by an abstract and expressive aesthetic, combining organic and geometric shapes. He plays with colors, lines and contrasts to create visually captivating compositions.
His artistic style is characterized by primitive, naive graphics, and a self-taught approach, inspired by the concept of "Art Brut" by Jean Dubuffet or "Figuration Libre" by Ben.
He works mainly with Posca markers on 300 gr A4 paper but also with acrylic on canvases of different formats.
We find this technique in his remarkable works, "Living in the illusion will not save you" (2024), is an acrylic and marker painting on canvas. Another work, "Perspective, space and time" (2024), is a marker drawing on paper.
The artist has no commercial approach and exhibits very little but his works are collected by amateurs, some of whom are his mentors.
