Christiane Papé is a contemporary Swiss painter, deeply inspired by the beauty of nature. Her work spans floral compositions, landscapes, and abstract pieces, all of which reflect her personal perceptions of the vibrant colors, shapes, and movements found in the natural world. Papé's artistic approach goes beyond mere visual interpretation, seeking to capture the essence of nature's beauty.
Papé does not follow a traditional process of sketching her work beforehand; instead, she works directly from memory, picking up her brush and allowing the creative flow to guide her. Her current focus is on acrylic painting on canvas, but her pieces can also be printed on various materials such as paper, wood, acrylic, and metal, with the original artwork remaining a centerpiece.
Throughout her career, Papé has worked with a range of media, including acrylics, pastels, collage, and oil paints. After spending over 35 years in Manhattan, she returned to her native Switzerland a decade ago. Her works are featured in various museums and private and public collections, as well as in storefronts like Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. Papé has exhibited her art in numerous galleries across Europe and the United States.
