Christian Parent lives and works in Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec. He has also taught visual art at the Cégep de St-Hyacinthe since 2001. The artist's practice is mainly focused on drawing, painting and digital images. Involved in the field of the arts, he serves as a member of the boards of directors of artist and exhibition centers. After a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal, a major in fine arts at Concordia University and an artist residency in Alma, Parent deepened his artistic approach by ;interesting in the notion of time and its different manifestations, with the aim of understanding its ancestry on humans. The artist exhibits solo through several artist centers, Galerie POPOP in collaboration with Circa art contemporain in Montreal. He also exhibits collectively in other centers in Quebec. In 2017 and 2021 he participates in the Drawing Biennale at the Mont St-Hilaire Museum of Fine Arts among others.
