Conceptual photography

Christian Clausier was a French teenager when he received his first camera at the age of 14, and it was love at first sight for him, for this new means of artistic expression and for its history.
Member and then head of a renowned photographic club in the Paris region, he sees his photographic culture wander through various galleries while practicing street photography and artistic nudes in the studio. He moved to Montpellier and opened an advertising photography studio in the capital of Languedoc, participated in numerous national advertising campaigns and sharpened his photographic technique for fifteen years. But photography gave him a taste for travel with, as a new activity, his new job as a journalist and reporter, whose signature appeared in many national and international magazines.
His professional travels gave him a taste for landscape photography, especially that of the great African desert spaces, an attraction that led him to develop his rigorous and colorful framing. The exhibitions follow one another, as at the Institute of the Arab World in Paris, Montpellier, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Bordeaux, with the second growing interest, the history of art, minimalism and conceptual photography. . Christian Clausier is firmly established as one of the leading landscape photographers; his style is unique in that his photographs convey a spiritual quality of serenity and calm, with a particular approach to light. But not only, since his conceptual photographic works also show his developed tastes for art in general and his developed artistic creative sense.
All of his work is not the result of chance: his images are carefully thought out, the artist engages through a look of his own, aesthetic or interrogative. He sometimes exempts himself from certain rules, because he has acquired the power to do so.
