Christa Riemann was born in Düsseldorf and studied painting and graphics at the Free Academy of Rhine-Ruhr. Her work is represented in many galleries, solo and group exhibitions.
In her mostly large-format works, she shows insights into the nature of animals and impressions of nature. Her pictures are complex and constructed with an exciting dramaturgy. If you previously doubted that animals have a personality, their work will prove you wrong. She shows the individual as a soulful creature and thus sets a clear counterpoint to the widespread social understanding of animals as livestock.
Emotional animal portraits and colorfully nuanced works represent her extensive collection of images.
