Christopher Duffy was born in Melbourne Victoria to an Irish father & Polish mother. From 1970 to 1988 Chris lived & was educated in the east end of London, England. In 1988 Chris returned to Australia & worked as a Steel-fixer within the construction industry until 1996. Chris enrolled at Wangaratta TAFE Benalla Campus Victoria & completed first year of Associate Diploma in Visual Arts (Fine Art). The following year he gained direct entry into second year of BVA Fine Art at La Trobe University Victoria where he graduated with honours in 1999. Chris consistently exhibited in various Group & Solo shows throughout Melbourne & Victoria until 2005 when he then moved to his current studio in Portarlington.
Highlights Include: Fosters Brewing Group commission of Thirty Five drawings for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games & the 2001 Williamstown Contemporary Art Prize & representing Australia at the 2007 Florence Biennale of International Contemporary Art.
