Un collage vivant qui présente un mélange chaotique de couleurs et de motifs, avec une silhouette déformée au milieu plongeant dans des eaux inconnues. Différentes textures et formes sont juxtaposées pour créer une impression de profondeur et de désarroi. Il y a des moments où de nombreuses personnes ont tendance à regarder les informations quotidiennes d’un œil tremblant. À côté de nombreuses activités dans ce monde, il y a les nombreuses formes de catastrophes qui nous entourent ces jours-ci. Les différents conflits armés entre deux factions belligérantes parsèment la carte, les gens souffrent des effets des catastrophes naturelles dues au changement climatique tandis que d'autres sont accablés par les problèmes financiers dus à l'inflation mondiale. Tout cela a conduit à une migration des populations, créant un phénomène de réfugiés qui perturbe la stabilité de nombreux pays. Des gens désespérés voyagent d’un pays à l’autre, poussés par une lueur d’espoir et le désir d’une vie meilleure. Mais aucun d’entre eux n’est conscient des obstacles et des dangers auxquels ils sont confrontés au cours de ce voyage. Pour moi, ce drame virtuel interposé avec les dures réalités cachées a conduit au choix d’un collage de papier abstrait pour illustrer cette vision éphémère de l’espoir d’une vie meilleure dans le futur.

Richard Raveen Chester is a multifaceted artist. He developed a new form of printing using a digital technique and superimposing layers on heavy art paper. He specializes in contemporary simultaneous and continuous color printing. The artist reworks the print after the marouflage transfer onto heavy art paper to achieve the artistic effect.
His work is mainly inspired by his walks in the countryside and the sensations or feelings he experiences while doing them, and which he tries to share with the spectators of his works.
Richard Raveen Chester was born in 1954 in India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Delhi University School of Art in 1976. He currently lives and works in Angers (France).
