Born in Paris in 1988, Charlotte graduated from ENSBA Lyon in 2016. In 2017 she was invited for a three-month residency in Moly-Sabata (38), where she decided to use the architecture of the house itself as a frame for her monumental paintings. She then exhibited at Galerie Tator then Galerie B+ in Lyon and at Galerie Houg in Paris. Charlotte Denamur participated in the group exhibition outside Moly-Sabata during Artorama in Marseille in August 2018. In March 2019 Charlotte was invited to present her work in the gallery of the French Institute of Slovakia in Bratislava. As part of the exhibition Là où les eaux se mêlent for the 15th Edition of the Biennale of Contemporary Art of Lyon, Charlotte created a monumental painting suspended from the ceiling of the Institute of Contemporary Art. She is the winner of the Auvergne Rhônes-Alpes Young Creation Prize.
After developing an intense studio practice at Adera in the suburbs of Lyon, the artist now lives and works in Paris, first at the Cité Internationale des Arts, where she was a resident in 2020/2021, and currently in a collective studio in Ivry-sur-Seine.
