Christophe Heymann, alias CHAP, is a contemporary French painter. The artist will always have an intense curiosity and a confused attraction toward his birthplace, Chad. The fantasy image of this place will always serve as an inspiration.

He was uprooted and moved between eastern and southern France as a child. He's begun to embrace escapism because he doesn't feel entirely at home or like a total stranger anywhere. He was growing up in the comic book universe. As an adult, he explores the actual world, immerses himself, and then departs with a mind brimming with vivid experiences that he subsequently depicts on the canvas.
