Cédric Bonfanti is a contemporary French sculptor. He experiments with a variety of approaches using sculpture made of stone, mortar, and wood. Following a series on Greek mythology, he switches to metal to build an arc-welded bestiary out of steel components. Then he will create humanoids and other anthropomorphic sculptures.

Bonfanti has recently begun making references to our consumption society and pop culture using old toys. The recovery of materials imposes itself as the unifying element of the artist's plastic cosmos inside this artistic strategy. He draws inspiration from fictional creatures infused with science fiction, fantasy films, comic book culture, manga, and mythological figures.

Cédric Bonfanti was born in 1979, in France, where he graduated from the Metz School of Fine Arts. He has been exhibiting throughout France, Luxembourg, Belgium and since 2016 he is a member of the Maison des Artistes de Paris.
