Catherine SOUMAH-MIS, qui signe ses réalisations sous le pseudonyme de Catsoumi, exerce un métier du tertiaire.
En 1998 elle adhère à l'ADAM (Amicale des Artistes Maisonnais), où elle travaille comme amateur deux fois par semaine dans un atelier de peinture dirigé par Manoël Pillard, professeur à l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, et Michel Artigue, coloriste.
Elle rejoint en 2004 l’association pluridisciplinaire Plur’Arts, qui regroupe des artistes de divers horizons (peintres, sculpteurs, céramistes…), avec laquelle elle participe à de nombreuses manifestations artistiques.
En 2006 elle devient membre de l'Association Paris-Montmartre.
