Pascal Catry est un passionné d’histoire: il joue avec le temps, le met en boîte, le donne à voir sans jamais le modifier. Son intense désir de communication l’a conduit à déchiffrer le langage des matières. Ses zincs nous racontent alors leur histoire : " Le songe d’une tuile ocre, caressée par le vent, s’offrant sous d’intenses rayons au bleu du ciel, avant de trouver le repos au creux d’une gouttière, berceau de ses larmes d’automne."
Les traces laissées par ces rencontres, telles des cicatrices, sont une source inépuisable d’inspiration pour Pascal Catry.
D’une feuille de zinc il enveloppe les trésors que nous ne savons plus contempler et les cachant ainsi à notre regard, les présente dans un écrin qui les rend de nouveau précieux et désirables.
Son art, lisible par tous, fait appel à la poésie qui sommeille en chacun de nous.
