(©)adagp

Catherine Drouin-Goutal, painter and designer, has nurtured the dream of painting since her adolescence. This dream came true when she received as a Christmas gift all the materials necessary for her first steps in painting. However, it was not until she arrived in Grenoble in 1984 that she found the courage and passion to immerse herself in the art world.

She continued her artistic training by joining the École des Beaux-Arts and the School of Architecture of Grenoble in 1991 and 1994, where she developed her skills in painting and design. Since then, Catherine has painted with passion and has exhibited her works in group and individual exhibitions since 1995, both in the provinces and in Paris.

She has participated in prestigious artistic events such as the Salon des Indépendants in 2005, the Salon d'Automne since 2014, and the Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l'Eau since 2018 as part of ARTCAPITAL. His work has been rewarded with several prizes and silver medals, both in the provinces and in Paris.

Catherine finds her inspiration in various fields, always looking for new creations. For her, color and material are essential elements of her artistic expression. She draws her inspiration from nature, emotions, architecture and ancient civilizations, constantly exploring new techniques and experiments to push the limits of her creativity.

Catherine has recently passionately explored the technique of Indian ink, black and color, which was warmly received during her presentation at the Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l'Eau in 2020. In 2022, she participated at the Salon d'Automne with a large oil painting entitled "Au Fond des Abysses", which attracted significant attention.

In December 2022, Catherine organized a solo exhibition at the artistic café "L'APOSTROPHE" in Paris, presenting around fifty Chinese inks, mainly abstract, which were exhibited until January 31, 2023. She also planned to meet fans of his work during a new exhibition in November 2023.

She is currently preparing a large oil canvas for the Salon d'Automne in January 2024, which will be held at the Grande Halle de la Villette, with the central theme of the survival of our planet. Additionally, Catherine plans to create a new abstract work in Indian ink for the 2024 Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l'Eau, which will take place at the Grand Palais Éphémère on the Champ de Mars. Catherine Drouin-Goutal is an artist determined to explore new artistic horizons and share her passion for painting with the world.
