Carole Bressan has exhibited her work mainly in France but also abroad since 2005.

For around ten years she has developed several series, "Narrative Patchworks", "Flights"... The technique then moved towards collage, calligraphy and research into materials, serving very composed canvases with dreamlike subjects.

In 2017, she began a series that she called Poetics of the Landscape. Of this new direction she says:

"From now on, my painting is oriented towards a poetic evocation of nature. I try to summon in these "Poetics of the Landscape" the sacred character inherent in the contemplated landscapes, objects of evocation of a vast range of emotions, feelings, sentiments."

The technique evolves, the canvases are first covered with plaster, then knives and brushes navigate on and between the roughness and reliefs. Numerous possibilities of transparency, filter effects and superposition are put in place thanks to a whole set of colored juices (a technique close to watercolor and which polymorphic acrylic can approach).

Produced almost entirely flat, Carole Bressan's paintings are dependent on multiple stages of drying, to the rhythm of these superimposed juices.

The paintings are often vibrant, imbued with an energetic signature and a spontaneity which give the representation an ephemeral character and a feeling of immediacy.

"Warm colors, cool colors, materials on display or in motion, diffused or sharp lights: each painting by Carole Bressan is an invitation to a poetic elsewhere, an intimate notebook that reveals itself to us. The landscapes that she transfigures are there, as if to bring us back to a tangible reality that seems to have no hold on time. Nature is timeless and a source of resilience." David Gauduchon for Pratique des Arts (2020)
