Cities are homes that get cozy. Perhaps this is why more thanhalf the world’s population lives in cities. They are a privi-leged icon of humanity, of what of good and bad has been done inthe past and what is promoted in the present, hoping to achieve afuture in which the word “home” is understood in its true scale:the planet Earth.The artists took over concrete, steel, and glass, symbols of theindustrial age, to build their city of the future on the walls ofthis hotel.On the first “floor” the cities prevail in the more idyllic, poet-ic, or catastrophic visions of their authors. In one corner, aboar in a tie reminds us of what man forgot when he put nature athis service; anthropocentric, the human being sees himself withfull rights over the planet..On a second level the scale explodes and the Earth tells us aboutessence, about organic life, that we are not unique, about hopeand regeneration...On a third level we have the communion of humanity with the plan-et or with itself, accepting that the “part” is no more than the“whole”. Here four cities of the future emerge from the four ele-ments of nature -Earth, Water, Air and Fire- in a complete unity.
