Carla Dancey

An art expert with a photographic memory of all the great works of art throughout history stored in his mind, complimented one of my paintings.  He said it was 'fresh, new and exciting!'  Wow!  That compliment encouraged me so much!   I hope to always be that artist that is creating something fresh, new and exciting!  At the very least, I try to create works of art that are different, unique, beautiful or interesting.  Painting is my happy place.  It's a peaceful, reflective process that I really enjoy.  I love to paint portraits of people in their youth or what they might look like in heaven with healthy glowing skin and no visible signs of aging.  I love to paint animals and birds in various styles of art.   I also love to paint geometric shapes.  I enjoy painting seascapes and landscapes in an impressionist style. Bob Ross is one of my favorite artists.   I am enjoying the process as I continue to develop my own unique artistic perspective.
