Biografie
Wie Dostojewski in Verbrechen und Strafe schrieb: „Alles hängt von der Umgebung ab, in der der Mensch lebt: Die Umgebung bestimmt alles, und der Mensch ist nichts.
In unserer übersättigten visuellen Welt erleben wir oft dieses Nichts. Doch mit dem richtigen Licht verwandelt sich eine Figur oder eine Landschaft - und findet in Sekundenschnelle ihre Bedeutung.
Seit über 15 Jahren erforsche ich diese Verwandlung. Ich forme Menschen mit Licht und halte fest, wie sie sich in jedem Winkel durch natürliches Licht, künstliche Systeme und UV-Licht verändern. Sichtbare und unsichtbare Spektren, Maschinen, die Licht aufzeichnen - dies sind meine Werkzeuge, um einen neuen Geist jenseits von Farbe, Textur und Form zu enthüllen.
Ich mache nicht einfach nur Porträts. Ich übertrage meine eigene Seele in sie. In jeder Sitzung kollidiert die Identität der Person mit meiner Vision. Der Prozess ist fließend, unvorhersehbar und lebendig. Das Ergebnis sind Fotografien, die nicht nur Bilder sind, sondern Emotionen, die durch die Verführung der Poesie zu einer ästhetischen Erfahrung werden.
Seit über 16 Jahren beschäftige ich mich hauptberuflich mit der Fotografie. Ich begann als Kunstjournalistin, entdeckte die Fotografie auf diesem Weg und eröffnete 2005 mein erstes Studio in Istanbul. Seitdem habe ich mit internationalen und nationalen Marken zusammengearbeitet, in ganz Europa ausgestellt und über 5.000 Fotografen als Mentor betreut.
Im Jahr 2019 wurde ich von Sony Europe zum Imaging Ambassador ernannt. Seitdem wurde diese Anerkennung jedes Jahr erneuert. Aber Titel definieren mich nicht. Was mich definiert, ist die unermüdliche Suche nach dem Licht, dem Unsichtbaren und dem flüchtigen Moment, in dem sich alles zusammenfügt.
