Issu d’une famille d’artiste, atelier fondé au 19ème siècle par son arrière grand-père, Patrick BRETAGNE fait des études classiques à l’Ecole des Arts appliqués. Outre les techniques et l’Histoire de l’Art, il apprécie particulièrement le dessin et la peinture. Ancien élève de Roger Plin et de Rachel Grataloup,
BRETAGNE choisi l’atelier de Design textile et travaille de 1971 à 1976 dans ce secteur.
1976, il commence une carrière d’enseignant et crée en 1997, un atelier de sérigraphie puis se spécialise dans l’enseignement et la pédagogie auprès de personnes ayant des troubles de la personnalité.
De sa formation, il conserve un souci de représentation constant et utilise une large documentation. Chaque toile propose au spectateur de se raconter sa propre histoire au sujet de l’œuvre.

Born in a family of artist, workshop founded at the 19 2nd century by its back grandfather, Patrick BRETAGNE makes traditional studies at the School of the Applied Arts. In addition to the techniques and the History of Art, it particularly appreciates the drawing and painting. Former pupil of Roger Plin and Rachel Grataloup, selected Patrick the textile workshop of Design and works of 1971 to 1976 in this sector.
1976, it begins a career of teacher and creates in 1997 a workshop of serigraphy then specializes in teaching and pedagogy near people having personality disorders.
Of its formation, it preserves a constant preoccupation with a representation and uses a broad documentation. Each canvas proposes to the witness to tell his own history about the work.

Nato da una famiglia d'artista, studio fondato al 19 secolo dal suo bisnonno, Patrick BRETAGNE fa studi classici a la scuola delle arti applicate. Oltre alle tecniche e la storia dell'arte, apprezza particolarmente il disegno e la pittura. Ex-allievo di Roger Plin e di Rachel Grataloup, Patrick sceglie il seminario di progettazione tessile e lavora dal 1971 al 1976 in questo settore.
1976, comincia una carriera d'insegnante e crea nel 1997, un seminario di sérigraphie, quindi si specializza nell'insegnamento e la pedagogia presso persone con disordini della personalità.
Della sua formazione, conserva una preoccupazione di rappresentazione costante ed utilizza un'ampia documentazione. Ogni quadro propone allo spettatore di dirsi la sua propria storia sull'opera.

Stamm aus einer Künstlerfamilie, Werkstatt, die im 19. Jahrhundert durch ihren hinteren Teil gegründet wurde, Großvater führt Patrick die Bretagne klassische Studien in der Schule der angewendeten Künste durch. Außer den Techniken und der Geschichte der Kunst schätzt er besonders die Zeichnung und die Malerei. Ehemaliger ausgewählter Schüler von Roger Plin und von Rachel Grataloup, Patrick arbeitet die textile Designwerkstatt und von 1971 bis 1976 in diesem Bereich.
