Borys Shelegov

Boris Shelegov - is a contemporary Ukrainian surrealist painter.

The combination of the incompatible, but having the right to exist - the materialistic reality and the unreality of our mental perception - these are the plots of his paintings.

Pictures are born not so much for the eyes as for the mind.  Their vocation is to awaken thoughts and emotions, to find new facets in familiar objects that we do not notice in everyday life.

The main characters are female figures, which, like other figures and objects, personify reality, transformed according to the laws of dreams and daydreams.

The titles reflect the ideas of the paintings - the real and the imaginary, the future and the past, the high and the low, which flow together, merge on the horizon of human’s cognition.

Don't be afraid to look beyond the horizon.

Boris was born in 1961 in Ukraine, self-taught artist.
