"Dry Kakhamlyk River" is a mesmerizing oil painting that captures the essence of a tranquil countryside scene. The artist's skillful brushwork and use of color invite viewers to immerse themselves in the richly detailed landscape. At the heart of the composition, a once-rushing riverbed, now dried by the touch of the seasons, dominates the foreground. Its cracked, parched earth exudes a sense of stillness and nostalgia, a testament to the passage of time. The riverbed is flanked by a vibrant array of reeds, their golden hues catching the sunlight that filters through the clouds. Beyond the reeds, a quaint village comes into view, its presence softened by the interplay of distance and the veil of nature. A house, its weathered maroon roof hinting at the passage of countless seasons, emerges from behind the swaying reeds. The walls of the house are adorned with a warm shade of orange, contrasting with the subdued tones of the surroundings. As one's gaze drifts further into the scene, the landscape transitions into a dense forest. The trees stand tall and solemn, their bare branches creating an intricate network against the muted gray sky. The forest exudes a sense of mystery, inviting the imagination to explore the hidden depths within. The overall atmosphere of the painting is one of serene desolation. The title, "Dry Kakhamlyk River," offers a poignant insight into the narrative of a once-thriving waterway now reduced to a barren memory. Yet, there's an undeniable beauty in the harmony of colors and the skillful rendition of nature's textures, each stroke of the artist's brush paying homage to the passage of time and the quiet resilience of the landscape. "Dry Kakhamlyk River" is a masterful portrayal of the delicate balance between human habitation and the unyielding force of nature. It invites viewers to reflect upon the impermanence of existence and the enduring allure of a world that persists in its ever-changing splendor.

Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
