Bodriana Josephine

I was born in 1980 in Surabaya, Indonesia. I first learned to draw with my artist mother when I was 4. I was so into japanesse animation (manga/anime), when I was teenage. I used to be an illustrator for my Junior High School tabloid. I started to paint when I was 16. Painting was just my hobby but now it's become my full-time activity. I haven't had any exhititions yet but my mom and I are planning to exhibit our paintings together real soon.

I was born on December 11th, 1980 in Surabaya-Jawa Timur, Indonesia. I belong to an artistic family. My mother is a painter. She is the one who I first I learned to draw with. My grandfather was a well-known artist. I used to draw decorative with pastels and to draw Japanese animation (manga/anime) with pencils and watercolor pencils. I used to be an illustrator for a senior high school magazine at my school. When I was 16, my mother taught me to paint with other mediums I never used before, like, watercolor and oil paintings. Painting was just one of my hobbies. But, in the early of my 20's it became a major thing and full-time activity in my life. I want to follow my grandfather's and mother's footprint.

My paintings here represent scenery and views in Indonesia. They are about its art, cultures, peolpe, flora, fauna, etc. i want to introduce the exotic Indonesia to the world through every inch of my brush on drawing papers ana canvas.
