Björn Wiedemann is a contemporary German artist. The artistic work is characterized by constant curiosity and the exciting journey through their own visual languages. Mainly abstract expressionism is the focus of his work.

For him, abstraction does enable and allow to depict something already existing, but rather to create something unique and new. Through bold gestures in the application of paint, Wiedemann emphasizes uniqueness and a certain depth on the surface. But Wiedemann is also passionate about reduction and minimalist works. A refusal of explicit titles of the works, as well as intensive descriptions of the works is a common thread of his painting. He speaks of the fact that the paintings are sometimes a riddle and task to the viewer. They seduce and invite to reflect, let thoughts wander and use their own imagination.
