Bin Liu

Liu Bin is a Chinese contemporary artist who began his artistic journey learning traditional Chinese arts in his childhood, including seal cutting, meticulous-style painting, and calligraphy. In 1997, he shifted his focus to oil painting, where he discovered the expressive potential of oil on canvas—a medium that has since become a central part of his life and practice.

Initially, Liu studied traditional European painting techniques, laying a strong foundation in classical art. Over time, however, he has incorporated Impressionist techniques and colors into his work, allowing him to explore a broader range of themes and styles. Liu views his art as both an inheritance of tradition and an opportunity for innovation, constantly seeking new forms of expression. This continuous exploration of painting styles and themes brings him great fulfillment and drives his artistic growth.
