BERTHOUMIEUX
For me, being an artist is the capacity of looking around and feeling the beauty of the world structure with such infinite emotion that the shape, colour and light of it become part of myself. Had I been a musician, I would have composed music!
Drawing, oil and water colour painting, sculpture have been for me the means to show what I felt through portraits, nudes, seascapes, landscapes and creations.
Most of my paintings are treated like miniatures, whatever their size.
Pour moi, être un artiste est l'aptitude à regarder autour de soi et ressentir la beauté de la structure du monde avec tant d'émotion que sa forme, sa couleur et sa lumière deviennent une partie de moi-même. Si j'avais été musicienne, j'aurais composé de la musique!
Le dessin, la peinture à l'huile et à l'eau, la sculpture ont été pour les moyens de montrer mon ressenti à travers des portraits, des nus, des marines, des paysages et des compositions.
La plupart de mes oeuvres sont traitées comme des miniatures, bien qu'elles ne le soient pas.
