FROM EARTHLING TO GLASSLING

Bernard Froment’s sculptures are both anchored to his peasant roots & carried by a deep awareness of Strength & Fragility of Life, the Glass.

The sculptor regards himself as an assembler of materials, grafting the spirit of Glass to old wood pieces and metallic tools of the Past, to provide them a new verticality.  His art deals with the possibility of a new germination, a new Conciousness of Life.

A TRIBUTE TO THE LEAST THINGS OF THE PAST

He prepares those worn wooden stumps as for a feast day. He straightens them to offer them the possibility of a new germination with Glass, as a spark of light, a new chance. He gives them the opportunity to Exist again, to sprout to Present. To be born again.

GLASS BREAKAGE TO REVEAL A NEW LIGHT

As in men’s lives, his sculptures are made from multiple breakages, fragilities and old stories. The Light created by glass breaks, connects them to their own lives, to their higher universal dimension. Bernard Froment’s art is a message to raise awareness about human condition. It is linked to the germination of Living state. It deals with self-transcendance, rebirth and germination of our Living state.

A WISH TO NOURISH MEN, BODY & SOUL

As a pionneer of organic farming in the early 90’s, after a couple break up, he decided 30 years ago to get out of his tractor and to act for a re-connection of men to their true nature. He started carving and never stopped since then. His art denounces, it challenges, it relieves, it heals. It holds the deep generosity of Nature. His artistic approach is empowered with the awareness of holding the Beauty, the goodness and the generosity of Nature. It comes from far away and it moves forwards thanks to fertility, beauty and life’s movement.

UP AND COMING EVENTS

30 years of exhibitions in France & in Europe and a few events in my own fields, Studio & art gallery

70 exhibitions in Art fairs and art galleries in France and abroad, full of encounters and sharings. He has been trying with both his hands and his heart to do what keeps him going. He has been doing it with strength and fragility, with belief and striving. To find Peace and Freedom. Simply a deep and essential need to materialize his Feelings, to reveal the Beauty of Nature, and to mark his passage on Earth.

Since April 2020, in order to build together a new path of sincerity, he started opening his Studio for Art lovers to feel even more his commitment and creative approach and embracing both Art and Farming. To be reborn, to regain Delight, Joy, Beauty, Generosity & Truth.
