Painting is one of the most beautiful ways to immortalize many substantial phenomenon unnoticed in the hassle of daily life. To this end, I have preferred human faces. My intention was to make them distinguishable with all their colors, differences and thus to make other people notice them. Once the wrinkles appears and they are more closely examined, I realized that they were too valuable to be ignored, or forgotten. I usually prefer to draw women's faces. I find more reflections of experience, and emotions on them. The most enjoyable part of this process for me is particularly to draw the features of strange women from different nations, away from us, standing at the other end of the world, and with whom I have never come across. For me, drawing their portraits is actually akin to making acquaintance with them. Because everything about our lives, our emotions and our very selves is reflected in our faces. Art is my craft to frame and represent these special faces, a new feature of which I discover with each new drawing.

Hi! My name is Beren Özyurt. I was born on 23 February 2004 in Istanbul. I'm a 16-year-old young painter and I'm trying to save money for college and for my dreams by selling my paintings. I have been interested in art from an early age. I started playing piano when I was 10 years old because I had a long interest in music. For 6 years, I improved myself a lot and played jazz and classical pieces by composers such as Chopin, Bach, Mozart, Scott Joplin, Rachmaninov. During this period, I participated in various festivals, exams and competitions. In 2020, I got my certificate in piano instrument from London College Of Music. I am now making music videos on my youtube channel called Beren Özyurt.
With the exhibitions and workshops I participated in three years ago, my interest in painting started to increase. At first, I was making paintings by myself without training. I took part in a group exhibition called Course Of Self in May 2019 as the youngest artist. My painting called African Woman was exhibited. It was reported in various newspapers, magazines and websites. So I decided that I wanted to be more professional in painting and now I am a student of painter Mahir Güven.
