Berengere Lurand is a contemporary French sculptor. For the artist, there is an exchange with the earth which has its own strength, its own limits. A 3-way dialogue takes place: her hands, her breath and the earth. This soft and primitive material allows her to explore, to invent, to build her own style. The work of her hands can be read on each sculpture as if to plunge us further into reality. She has chosen the human body, particularly the female body, to question, denounce and sublimate. Conscious that the human being is in perpetual change, she expresses her vision of transformation, of this quest for Self.
